Providing Opportunities to the Underprivileged Community to Address Generational Poverty
Some people are born into poverty, and because there is a lack of community resources and programs to provide support, there are few to no opportunities for upward social and economic mobility for future generations in the underprivileged community.
In Detroit, Highland Park, and across the 13th District, too many working families live paycheck to paycheck. They work hard, but their wages are not enough to cover basic needs like housing, healthcare, and education. For too long, these working-poor families’ struggles have been ignored.
As your representative, I will fight to bring resources and opportunities so every family has dignity, stability, and a fair shot at the American Dream.

• Protect & expand healthcare and mental health services for all
• Clean and safe drinking water for every home
• Affordable, clean, and safe public transportation to get to work, school, and for healthcare
• Free school buses and lunch for every K-12 student
• Free Vocational & technical training to build a skilled workforce
• Free Entrepreneurship training and workshop to encourage and support small business owners
• Provide resources for internship and mentorship program to college students to gain experience to land in good-paying jobs right after graduation.
