My engineering background working within the automotive industry has shown me the critical importance of supporting collective bargaining rights because it is union auto workers in this country who build the best vehicles in the world!
It has been the union movement who helped build the middle class, and it is my intention to help restore the right to effectively organize, the right to collective bargaining for solid middle class wages, job safety, and affordable health care, and the right to retire in dignity with a safe and secure retirement.
If elected, I will help support worker friendly legislation including the bipartisan introduced PRO Act, and support strengthening the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) to help workers gain equality at the bargaining table and maintain a strong voice at the worksite.
